Google Campaign Manager

In one line: Connect Campaign Manager 360 so your UnleashX agent can create and update campaigns, browse advertisers, and pull reports — all in plain language.

1. Overview

Google Campaign Manager 360 (CM360) is Google’s ad management and measurement platform. It organizes work under user profiles, advertisers, and campaigns, and reports on how those campaigns deliver across sites and placements. Once connected to UnleashX, your agent can list your user profiles, browse advertisers and campaigns, create and update campaigns, and pull the reports you use to track performance. It works against your live CM360 account using your own Google sign-in, so it respects your role and permissions. Connecting Campaign Manager to UnleashX means you can manage your media in plain language. Instead of clicking through CM360 to spin up a campaign or find a report, you tell your agent and it makes the change or fetches the answer.

2. What you’ll need

  • A Campaign Manager 360 account with at least one user profile.
  • Your CM360 user profile ID (the agent works through a profile), and the advertiser ID for campaign work.
  • A user role in CM360 that can view and manage campaigns, advertisers, and reports.
  • The Campaign Manager 360 API enabled for your project.
  • An UnleashX account with access to Data Connectors.
No API key to paste. Campaign Manager uses OAuth — you click Authorize and sign in with Google. The agent acts through your user profile ID, and uses an advertiser ID when working with campaigns.
Google enforces your CM360 role. The Campaign Manager 360 API must be enabled, and your Google user needs a profile with permission to manage campaigns and advertisers — otherwise the agent can’t either. Ask your CM360 admin to adjust access if needed.

3. Get your credentials

There’s no key to copy. Authentication runs through Google’s secure OAuth sign-in.
1

Start the connection in UnleashX

Connecting Google Campaign Manager (Section 4) opens a Google Sign in window.
2

Sign in with Google

Sign in with the Google account that has access to your CM360 account. Complete two-factor authentication if prompted.
3

Review and accept the scopes

Google shows the access UnleashX is requesting (see the scopes table). Click Allow.
4

Confirm your user profile

Note your CM360 user profile ID — the agent works through it. If you manage several advertisers, keep the relevant advertiser ID handy for campaign work.
5

Return to UnleashX

Google redirects you back automatically and the connector links to your CM360 account. Behind the scenes UnleashX authenticates with Google using an OAuth token — you never handle the token yourself.
Permissions (Google OAuth scopes) UnleashX requests:
Google OAuth scopes are granular. UnleashX requests only what these tools need, and Google — together with your CM360 role — enforces the limits.

Available triggers

6. Example usage

“Create a Q3 brand awareness campaign under the Acme advertiser running July through September.” → Runs List Advertisers to find Acme, then Create Campaign with the name and flight dates. “List the campaigns for the Globex advertiser and show me the reports I can run.” → Runs List Campaigns for Globex, then List Reports to show the saved reports.

7. Permissions & data access

UnleashX can:
  • List your user profiles, advertisers, and campaigns.
  • Create and update campaigns.
  • List the saved reports available to your profile.
UnleashX cannot:
  • Do anything your CM360 role doesn’t permit.
  • Delete advertisers or accounts, or change account-level admin settings.
  • Act through a profile your Google user hasn’t been granted.
To disconnect: In UnleashX, open Data Connectors → Google Campaign Manager → Disconnect. You can also revoke access at https://myaccount.google.com/permissions (Third-party apps with account access). Disconnecting revokes access immediately.

8. Troubleshooting

For general MCP issues, see /mcp/integrations.

9. Frequently asked questions

Is my campaign data stored by UnleashX? No. UnleashX reads and writes your CM360 objects live through the Campaign Manager API per request; it doesn’t keep a copy. Why does the agent need a user profile ID? CM360 scopes access by user profile. The agent works through your profile, so its access matches what that profile is allowed to do. Can the agent really create and update campaigns? Yes — Create Campaign and Update Campaign (marked ✏️) make changes in CM360. They only work if your profile allows it. Why do I need to enable the Campaign Manager 360 API? The API must be turned on for your project before any tool can read or write data. Your Google user also needs a CM360 profile with the right permissions.
